A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Connor Monday joined the Columbus Symphony as acting fourth Horn in February of 2026. He previously spent four seasons as fourth horn with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and has performed as a substitute musician with several orchestras, including the Cleveland Orchestra and the Houston Symphony Orchestra.
Growing up in Jacksonville, Connor started studying the horn with the Jacksonville Symphony’s Kevin Reid. He earned a Bachelor of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Richard Solis, and a Master of Music from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. As a student, he spent summers at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara and the Aspen Music Festival.
Connor lives in Upper Arlington with his wife and two children.
