February 17-21, 2025
During Education Benefit Week, Columbus Symphony musicians will generously volunteer their time to visit K-12 schools throughout central Ohio, engaging in a variety of hands-on activities that provide direct musical enrichment to students: chamber music performances, musician story times, sectional coaching, and more. Symbolically led by master of ceremonies Bee-thoven, the Columbus Symphony’s mascot of musical education, our musicians make it possible for children to “Bee-Inspired” to pursue a lifelong love of music and learning!
Music educators are essential partners in the Columbus Symphony’s mission to inspire and build a strong community through music. When we ask these educators about what they need to help foster their students’ passion for music and arts, the answer is clear: a greater emphasis on in-school programming. Every year, we perform fun, educational full-orchestra concerts in K-12 schools throughout the region. We aim to expand these offerings, and more, to support our local students and educators.
Educational programming through the Columbus Symphony is 100% supported by our donors. As we look to further enrich the lives of the children in our community through the power of music, we need your help! Your support makes it possible to spark creativity, find inspiration, and nurture intellectual development for children to “Bee-Inspired” through music. We hope you will join us with your support to help our kids stay connected through access to the high-quality music education that every child deserves.
