It is a workshop-style learning opportunity rather than a formal performance. Think of it as a public master class in which the whole orchestra is participating simultaneously. Participants will be seated side-by-side with Symphony musicians. The audience is able to observe this entire process from beginning to end, so even those not on stage can learn something.
This event is only able to accommodate the standard orchestral instruments listed in the pull-down menu. We are not able to accept any instrument not listed on the registration menu.
We will email acceptance notices beginning the week of March 10, 2025. Those who are placed on the waiting list will be seated when/if spaces become available.
Please wait until you have received notice of your acceptance. Details of payment, schedule, etc. will be included once you are seated.
Maybe. Email specific seating requests to our Education Office and we will accommodate them if it is possible to do so.
Yes. Practice parts will be sent to the email address you provide once your participation fee has been received.
No. We prefer that you use the parts we will provide.
Yes! Observers will enter the same southeast entrance and sign in before entering the theatre. Please note that they are only observing and may not be able to hear everything spoken on stage.
The event will also culminate with a performance at the Ohio Theatre of the combined CSO and Community ensemble – please invite as many guests as you want!
