Ms. Anna Svirsky joined the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in September of 1985. Ms. Svirsky began her music studies at the Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) Music School in Russia when she was 5 years old. She received her Bachelor and Master - in- Music degrees at the Leningrad State Conservatory. Ms. Svirsky emigrated to the United States in 1978. She enrolled at the Stony Brook University (NY) where she studied with Isidore Cohen, a member of the Beaux Arts Trio, and received a Master-in-Music degree from that University in 1980.
Ms. Svirsky played with the Leningrad Symphony Orchestra, the Long Island Philharmonic (NY), the New York City Opera, the Grand Rapids Symphony (MI) and participated in various festivals, including Artpark and Caramoore in NY State. She has performed in numerous solo and chamber music recitals. Ms. Svirsky also teaches privately.
