Inspiring and building a strong community through music is the core of everything we do. The Columbus Symphony takes its responsibility for our role in the community seriously, and we are committed to be the "National exemplar of a vibrant dynamic orchestra."
Since 1951, the Columbus Symphony has been proud to serve as a cultural cornerstone in central Ohio. We directly serve over 175,000 central Ohioans each season through 200+ performances and programs, with a broader audience of over two million reached through broadcasts, online media, and more. Our musicians, conductors, chorus, youth orchestras, and world-renowned guest artists enrich the lives of local residents through unforgettable musical performances. This community is our stage and is home to our musicians who live, teach, and raise families in central Ohio.
Guided by the artistic vision of Music Director Rossen Milanov, the Columbus Symphony offers diverse programming in Masterworks, Pops, Specials, and Education and Community Engagement.
In the 2021-2022 season, the Columbus Symphony is unveiling a new initiative that outlines a bolstered commitment of extraordinary service to our community through a three-year campaign called "We are here for you.” In a pivotally important time for our orchestra and our community, we believe in making musical opportunities accessible and meaningful.
