The Columbus Symphony is pleased to present the debut performance of the
Columbus City Schools All-City Orchestra on Sunday, May 18 at 3 pm at the Capitol Theatre. Admission is free. The All-City Orchestra, conducted by Peter Stafford Wilson, is comprised of 50 talented students from 11 high schools with the Columbus City public school district.

On March 11, pianist
Anton Kuerti came to the rescue with a last-minute performance of the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5, (Emperor), with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, "paying tribute to every parent who ever bailed his kid out of a jam." (
Boston Globe) Mr. Kuerti will appear as guest artist on the Columbus Symphony Classical Season finale on May 10 and 11.

As a result of an extraordinary individual gift by a Board member, the Columbus Symphony expects to have the financial resources necessary to complete its Classical and Pops seasons, the final performance of which will occur on May 31, 2008.
