As part of the Brahms: Requiem Masterworks performance, the Columbus Symphony and Columbus Museum of Art will collaborate with an afternoon lecture that pairs chamber music performances by Symphony musicians with works from the CMA art collection.
This presentation will focus on two of modern art's greatest women artists, Mary Cassatt and Georgia O'Keeffe offer both a study in contrasts and stories of persistence in male-dominated art worlds. Cassatt's Impressionist paintings and prints reflect contemporary life around her, while O'Keeffe distills the essence of nature and man in bold and powerful abstractions.
This event will take place at the CMA.
Tickets are $5 for CMA members/ $20 for non-members which includes admission.
